Definition of the health insurance additional contribution
The health insurance additional contribution is the share of the statutory health insurance contribution that each health insurer sets for itself. It is calculated on the same contribution base as the general contribution rate. The rate differs from one insurer to another, and the nationwide average serves only as a reference value.
