Civil Servant Health Aid: Rates and How It Works

Civil servant health aid covers part of medical costs. The rate is set by federal or state rules, so ask your aid office which rate applies to you.

Definition of civil servant health aid

Civil servant health aid (Beihilfe) is the employer’s contribution to the medical costs of civil servants and trainees. It supplements the health and long-term care insurance that you must arrange yourself. The assessment rate depends on the aid rules of your employer.
